I have been doing Bulldog and Frenchie rescue since yearly 2005 with the help of my supportive and at times thankfully very tolerant fiancé Tony. Tony is a General Contractor and I am the Shelter Manager for the Camano Island Animal Shelter Association (CASA).

We have 3 dogs and 4 cats. Whitney a female French Bulldog we got as a puppy at 3 months of age. Zeke, a Boston/French Bulldog mix who was a shelter dog and my first foster failure when I was first involved with rescue, he was about 1.5 years old when we adopted him. We also have a 2 yr old female Frenchie, Abby. Also known as the "Chunky Monkey", who was our last foster failure. She adopted us from the first day and we love her even though she would be a nightmare for someone else. She came to us with quite an attitude and really has done a 180, but is still not 100% all the time. Although she is a bit leery of the bigger Bulldogs she does LOVE Frenchies like herself and is the one in our home who keeps playtime going with new Frenchies in the house. She is a champ at that.

Our 4 cats are Abby, Suki, Cabo and Stella Sassypants LaPerm. Mr. Abby was a stray who my fiance found and had before we met. Suki was the product of a barn cat who left her mom a little too soon. Both cats love the dogs and tolerate foster dogs like pros. Cabo is a Blue Point Siamese mix who was found at an old abandoned farm house, fostered by me through CASA and then he adopted us! Stella Sassypants is a LaPerm cat who came to CASA as a stray. She is about 18 yrs old, had lost the top half of each ear to frostbite, and had such poor dental she had to have all but 3 teeth removed. Being so old and now having a special diet we decided we wanted to make the lest of her years spoiled ones and adopted her.

I grew up with Bulldogs, we got our first when I was 3 years old. Even though I am now more of a French Bulldog person, I still love English Bulldogs!

I have been an animal lover since I was a child. Every opportunity to "save" any creature that needed it, I jumped on. Including all of the stunned birds who hit our large living room window as a kid, and the motherless opossums that crossed my path.

We live in North Snohomish County and foster French Bulldogs and French Bulldog Mixes. I also am the Bulldog Haven NW webmistress and graphic designer. I am very excited to be a part of the Bulldog Haven NW family.
