My name is Carmen, I live in Lake Stevens with my boyfriend of 4 years Brandon, my daughter Olivia who just turned 6, 3 fur kids and one quill kid.  I've worked in the Veterinary field since I was 16 but after having my daughter I went to work at my family's company in the aerospace industry (not as fun!).  I couldn't stay away so I continue to work at the Veterinary Hospital on the weekends. 

I have a 9 year old Shih-Tzu who I got as a surrender when he was a puppy from the Veterinary hospital I work at.  He's been with me through thick and thin and before I had my daughter, he was my first kid.  Reuben my 1 year old Frenchie A.K.A. "Dennis the Menace", he's worse than having triplet toddlers I'm sure! But he keeps me on my toes, has a HUGE personality and always makes us laugh.  We also have Princess Dill the 3 Legged Wonder Cat, my friend fished her and her siblings out from under her shed when they were babies, I'm a sucker for kittens, couldn't tell my daughter no and ended up taking her home 2 years ago.  She was attacked by a coyote and had to have one of her front legs amputated.  She made a speedy recovery and I'm so happy to still have her in my life (as a strictly indoor cat from now on!!)  Finally, we have Penelope my hedgehog, I've always had a hedgehog since I was young.  I don't really consider her a pet, you can't cuddle her or anything.  She's more of a high maintenance conversation piece.

This is my first experience with rescuing and I look forward to meeting wonderful people and working with a great team.
